Selective Demolition
Selective Demolition is the process of removing only select interior or exterior building components of a structure. This type of demolition is most common with renovation and remodeling projects. In the new age of historical preservation, we perform more selective demolition instead of removing entire buildings to make room for new.
An example where selective demolition is required: An old office building converted to accommodate a business needing warehouse space. All interior walls will be removed to create an open area. This form of selective demolition is also referred to “gutting” a building or space.
Over the past few years, selective demolition has become one of our specialties. We have performed over a million square feet of selective demolition with clients that range from government organizations to health care facilities.
